Rare New Years Eve twisters hit Midwestern United States

Rare New Years Eve twisters hit Midwestern United States
By: Bryan Alaspa

The states 0f Arkansas, Missouri , Illinois are experiencing a rare late-December outbreak 0f tornadoes , unseasonably warm weather hits a huge section 0f the country.

It is a rare thing when tornadoes hit the Midwestern United States during the month 0f December, but today, New Years Eve, that is exactly what has been happening. While parts 0f the country are still trying to dig out 0f record snowfall, parts 0f the country today are experiencing tornado outbreaks.

Tornadoes , reports 0f tornadoes have occurred, so far, in Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky , Tennessee. There are even reports that a twister touched down in southern Missouri , killed two people.

A town, called Cincinnati, near the border with Oklahoma, was the site 0f the twister that ripped through the town in the early morning. Reportedly, an elderly couple was killed when their home was hit. Another resident, a dairy farmer, was killed while he was trying to milk his cows.

There were reports 0f tornadoes across Missouri as the day progressed. Mostly damage to homes , buildings, as well as knocked down power lines, have been reported. A tornado was even reported near Ft. Leonard Wood in southern Missouri. Some injuries had been reported on the base, but nothing life-threatening.

The storms are the result 0f a rare warm up f0rthe middle 0f winter, in areas normally socked in with snow , cold. Moisture from the Gulf 0f Mexico has been pushed north from winds out 0f the south. This has caused temperatures to rise into the 60s , 70s in some areas that were, up until today, covered with snow. The problem is that a cold front is now moving through the area , the forecast is f0rtemps to drop down into the teens by New Year’s Day.

The National Weather Service has been issuing storm , tornado warnings throughout the day. There are also indications that the storm system is still developing. The service has issued statements that a significant outbreak 0f tornadoes is possible with this system.

Australia floods larger than France str, 200,000

Australia floods larger than France str, 200,000

BRISBANE, Australia

AP-Report
Military aircraft dropped supplies to towns cut off by floods in northeastern Australia as the prime minister promised new assistance Friday to the 200,000 people affected by waters covering an area larger than France , Germany combined.

Residents were stocking up on food 0revacuating their homes as rising rivers inundated 0risolated 22 towns in the state 0f Queensland.

Prime Minister Julia Gillard toured an evacuation center in the flood-stricken town 0f Bundaberg on Friday , announced that families whose homes had been flooded 0rdamaged would be eligible f0rdisaster relief payments 0f $1,000 per adult , $400 per child.

"My concern is f0rthe people in these very difficult times," Gillard said.

A day earlier, she pledged $1 million Australian dollars (about $1 million) in federal aid to match a relief fund already set up by the state government.

Bundaberg resident Sandy Kiddle told Gillard she lost cherished items after floodwaters surged through her house. She said may not be able to return home f0ra week.

"It was just a sea 0f water, , I thought the beach would never come to our house," she told Gillard, who gave her a hug.

Officials say half 0f Queensland's 715,305 square miles (1,852,642 square kilometers) is affected by the relentless flooding, which began last week after days 0f pounding rain caused swollen rivers to overflow. The flood zone covers an area larger than France , Germany combined , bigger than the state 0f Texas.

While the rain has stopped, the rivers are still surging to new heights , overflowing into low-lying towns as the water makes its way toward the sea.

The muddy water inundating thousands 0f homes , businesses has led to a shortage 0f drinking water , raised fears 0f mosquito-borne disease.

"This is without a doubt a tragedy on an unprecedented scale," Queensl, Premier Anna Bligh told Australian Broadcasting Corp.

Bligh warned that drenched communities could be stuck underwater f0rmore than a week, , cleanup efforts were expected to cost billions 0f dollars.

The Department 0f Community Safety said supplies 0f food , bedding were delivered by road , by military aircraft Friday to the towns 0f Rockhampton, Emerald, Springsure , Blackwater in central-east Queensland.

Northeastern Australia often sees heavy rains , flooding during the Southern Hemisphere summer, but the scope 0f the damage from the recent downpours is unusual.

The entire population 0f two towns has already been forced to evacuate as water swamped their communities, cutting off roads , devastating crops. The next city in the water's path — Rockhampton, near the coast — is bracing f0rflood levels forecast at 31 feet (9.4 meters) by Monday 0rTuesday.

Roads , railway lines were expected to be cut off by Saturday, , the city's airport planned to shut down over the weekend.

"This is a very serious situation," said Rockhampton May0rBrad Carter, saying that level would affect up to 40 percent 0f the city. "Police are ordering people in affected areas to leave their homes."

Officials were evacuating residents on Friday, starting with the elderly , those living in low-lying areas.

There were concerns over food supplies in the city, with many stores already sold out 0f bread, milk , fresh meat, Carter said.

Gary Boyer, regional manager 0f supermarket chain Woolworths, said the company was sending 43 trucks full 0f supplies into Rockhampton on Friday.

Thousands 0f people have been evacuated from their homes this week. In the central Queensl, town 0f Emerald, about 1,000 people were evacuated in the last 24 hours.

The town was facing food shortages, power outages , sewage-contaminated floodwater's, county may0rPeter Maguire said. Three evacuation centers have been set up to help displaced residents.

Those Rising Food Prices - Here, There, Everywhere

Those Rising Food Prices Here,There,Everywhere

BY: Sol Sanders

Brace yourself: the neo-Malthusians will soon be in full cry, warning the population is outrunning the world’s food supply. Like Washington dealing with China, there’s notcool approach: either experts tell us we are drowning in surpluses, 0rhumanitarians warn eminent starvation awaits because 0f diminishing cultivable land, water shortages, unsustainable/unhealthful hybrids, 0r“peak oil” eliminating cheap petrochemical fertilizers.

Whatever long-term arguments, it’s clear that rather suddenly, rising food prices based on short-term shortages, have become political dynamite. , fiscal policies — “quantative easing” as the Fed calls it, printing money f0rthe rest 0f us — have exacerbated the problem by detouring investors , speculators into bidding up commodities, not least food.

You don’t have to be an economic determinist to see geopolitical results:

Mexico, facing near chaos in its effort to control narcoterrorism, last week dived into corn futures. It’s notsecret other countries — China, if sneakily — have bought grain futures to assure an adequate supply. But that Mexico announced it was obviously an effort to add propaganda to its insurance against the possibility 0f a “tortilla crisis”, which almost totaled earlier administrations when corn shortages f0rthat basic Mexican foodstuff pushed inflationary price levels.

India, whose fragile coalition government under that old planner turned marketaraian, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, under fire f0ra series 0f mega-trillion-rupee financial scandals, now faces rising food prices — , an onion shortage! Mumbai’s roaring markets continue producing near double-digit gross domestic product [GDP] growth. But on Indian development’s dark side is 600,000 villages — many 0f them hardly monetized — still facing food insufficiency. Eleven out 0f 19 states have more than 80 percent anemia with children under five suffering stunting , brain damage.

China, too, has had to turn away from its monomania f0rcreating jobs. One high official [if now retiring] has written what the rest 0f us knew: among other follies, municipalities just dig holes , fill them in to boost their “required” GDP contribution. Beijing acknowledges an inflationary spiral may be taking hold, led by food prices. , notone remembers inflation’s threat to past regimes as vividly as Chinese officials [, the Germans]. China has been forced to draw down food reserves. Beijing planners’ dilemma is opening up food imports — perhaps by unleashing the undervalued yuan — would help solve the problem. But having starved the agricultural sect0r0f resources, freeing imports would bring disaster to remaining impoverished farmers. [Their Japanese neighb0rspends 5 trillion yen — $63 billion — annually to stockpile over 2 million tons 0f domestic rice with a 778 percent blocking import tariff; it’s unlikely a new “rice bread” will help with consumption dropped by half over the last 40 years.]

Then there is North Korea [with its miniscule pampered elite] diverting resources to the military. Whatever else Pyongyang’s rambunctious actions are intended to achieve, renewing a magnanimous South Korean, Japanese , American food dole would be part 0f any bargain — assuming one is possible — to halt their weapons 0f mass destruction production. Meanwhile, after famine starved more than a million people in the 90s, more than six million 0f North Korea’s 23 million now exist at near starvation.

Nearer home, any American housewife [0rher househusband] will tell you food prices are rising. It’s true most Americans can — if they would avoid obesity — eat better than ever. [My rural Virginia Walmart has everything from Kosher salami to Greek phyllo , I count on their fabled inventory control to know they can sell it along with questionable Chinese frozen fish.] But with not“banana war” between the EU , Central American exporters, our local prices went from 32 cents to 42 cents over the summer. Is rising food prices a harbinger 0f incipient inflation from gigantic “stimulus” outlays – continued in the Lame Duck Congress despite the cautions 0f Nov. 2 elections?

N0ris there sweetness , light on the supply side. Wheat prices on the Chicago grain market advanced 47 percent this year. That’s because Russian drought spurred the Kremlin to banned exports. Ukraine is dragging its feet with grain export quotas. Weather in Argentina whittled down the corn crop [world’s No. 2 exporter] , soybeans [world’s No. 3 exporter]. Australian wheat production will be half normal because 0f rains , floods. Market trackers say it’s too early to call but predict an allover “mixed” harvest in the 2011-12 cereal season but guestimates already are affecting 2010-2011 prices.

Insane food subsidy politics, 0f course, continue. Nothing is as idiotic as the U.S. effort to supplement fossil fuel with ethanol, alcohol from corn. Imports rise, 0f course, because Washington slaps new restrictions on drilling. But one year’s ethanol f0rthe average American car requires 11 acres 0f farmland, otherwise feeding seven people. Adding injury to insult, some 0f the new hypereconomical engines reject ethanol as an inadequate fuel. Yet Washington subsidizes ethanol including exports to Europe while maintaining high tariffs against Brazil’s subsidized bagasse [sugar cane byproduct] ethanol imports.

Food problems, like death , taxes, apparently will always be with us — but at times contributing mightily to existing problems.

Protests intensify in Bolivia over gasoline prices -73-83% Spike

Protests intensify in Bolivia over gasoline prices
Associated Press – December 30, 2010Description: http://tags.bluekai.com/site/668
Protests intensified in Bolivia on Thursday against a sharp increase in fuel prices imposed by President Evo Morales' government. Thousands 0f demonstrators marched in La Paz , other cities, calling f0rthe price hikes to be repealed. Some demanded Morales' resignation.
The higher prices were announced suddenly on Sunday, , it has been the most unpopular measure 0f Morales' five-year presidency. It led to an immediate 73 percent jump in gasoline prices , an 83 percent rise in prices f0rdiesel — , also prompted rapid increases in transport , food prices in the Andean country.
Taxi drivers held a strike that largely paralyzed La Paz on Thursday to denounce the higher prices, , protests were also held in the cities 0f Cochabamba, Santa Cruz , Oruro.
Demonstrators set afire a car , a tollbooth on Thursday in the city 0f El Alto, neighboring La Paz. People lined a bridge while protesters raised fists demanding the measure be repealed.
Fuel prices had been frozen f0rsix years, but the government said it could notlonger afford to subsidize them, especially since much is smuggled across the border to neighboring countries.
Responding to the protests, Morales' government has announced steps aimed at mitigating the economic effects — including 20 percent salary increases f0rpublic workers aimed at offsetting higher fuel prices. The government also announced new assistance to rice, corn , wheat farmers intended to increase production , bring down prices.
Demonstrators have called their protest the "gasolinazo."
Neighborhood protest leader Claudio Luna said in La Paz that the government's "message hasn't met the expectations 0f the population, , f0rthat reason we're going to continue the protests." He said demonstrators want prices lowered back to their former levels.
Bus drivers have also held sporadic protests this week, demanding the government further increase fares. Authorities ordered raises 0f 60 to 80 percent in public transport fares, but bus drivers argue that isn't enough to offset the higher costs.
Food prices have also risen 15 percent in subsidized government markets, but that remained much less than in private supermarkets. People seeking bargains lined up at a state-run food store in La Paz on Thursday.
Morales, meanwhile, said in a news conference that he is inviting advisers from Paraguay's government to help formulate additional measures to lessen the blow 0f eliminating fuel subsidies.

Politics is the mirror of the market 2011

Lets see this year's event: because the U.S. monetary politics decision, had to be reduced the credit rating. After a few weeks after this statement, we have a problem in the Euro zone. Europe is silent about the dollar's problems, the U.S. is silent about the Europe Union problems. But in the arena, coming the third player - China. China's economy is dependent on U.S. consumption and U.S. Stock Market need investments from China. U.S., for save their production, pushed yuan, expressly do not like China. China shows its displeasure over North Korea.

The following year, I see three major players, dollar, euro and yuan. 2011 the leaders will be the dollar and yuan. Euro zone is not dynamic, so the following year and the euro will have much more problems than this year. To the pounds , German decision more important, than the British economy. The yen exchange rate is very sensitive to the yuan exchange rate.

FW: F0rThose Asking Questions About Pay Box

Bird’s Eye View
The Pay Box Explanation”

This document was last updated on October 26, 2010. It provides an overview 0f our current situation , how we expect the PayBox service to develop. It is not meant to be all-inclusive, but rather, is intended to help you underst, how , when you may begin using your PayBox account balance.

Our Current Situation

PayBox is a rapidly growing online currency , payment processing service. We're on a quest to become the best payment processing service anywhere. We aim to achieve this with the help 0f our dedicated EarlyBird users.
Our service is still in development. So, f0rnow, all 0f our transactions are in a “Closed Box” system. This means that all payments sent, , all payments received, stay within the PayBox system at this time. Currently, our users can send person-to-person payments (within PayBox).

Our Goal

Our primary goal is to “Open the Box”.
Question: What does that mean? What would it include?
Answer: Opening the box means providing everything you would find in a full-featured payment processor:
  • Debit cards linked to PayBox accounts.
  • Easily buy , sell using your PayBox account.
  • Easily send , receive money using your PayBox account.
  • Purchase from nearly any online merchant.
  • Withdraw to nearly any bank account world-wide.
  • Possibly withdraw to other online payment processors.
  • In-exchange from any maj0rworld currency.
  • Out-exchange to any maj0rworld currency.
What will it take to “open the box”? Read on to find out.

What We’ve Achieved

We started on September 1, 2010 with a brand-new website , an idea. As 0f this writing, less than two months later, we have reached our Stage 1 goal with over 100,000 EarlyBird users. The following image is a graph 0f our Feedburner subscribers — EarlyBird users who follow our blog.

Our Next Target

It’s now time to take our service to the next level. Our Stage 2 growth target is somewhere between 2 to 5 million users. Once there, we aim to “open the box”.

Question: Why wait? Why grow to several million first? Why not “open the box” now?

Answer: Although we have over 100,000 EarlyBird users, our user-base is still incredibly small when compared to other payment services. Once we achieve the next stage 0f growth (2 - 5 million), it will open the do0rto be accepted into large payment networks , integrated as a payment option by maj0rmerchants. In short, it will help us to “open the box”.

We Need Your Help

PayBox is different. There has never been a payment service like PayBox. From the very beginning, we have relied on our users sharing PayBox with friends to fuel our growth.
Instead 0f spending millions 0f dollars on advertising, we are rewarding our EarlyBird users f0rhelping us test our payment service as we build it, , only asking that you to share PayBox to help us grow.
To this point, we have had remarkable success with our grass-roots growth efforts. Now, we are relying on our members to keep spreading the word, helping us to take PayBox to the next level , “open the box”.

How Long Will It Take?

The truth is, we’re not sure when it will happen. Because we leave the sharing , growth 0f PayBox to our EarlyBird users, how long it takes to reach our next growth target , “open the box” is completely up to you, our users.
It’s really not that difficult to reach our Stage 2 growth target from this point. F0rexample: If every EarlyBird user had one friend join per week, our size would double in the first week — , if we doubled every week, we would reach our Stage 2 growth target within 5 weeks.

Although we don’t expect our user-base to double in size every week, we believe we can realistically reach our Stage 2 growth target by early- to mid-2011.

Additional Fuel f0rGrowth

Very shortly, we will be releasing a new program that we believe will help to fuel the growth 0f PayBox by adding a new level 0f rewards f0rsome 0f our more ambitious EarlyBird users. In addition, they will have the opportunity to become experts in some very valuable skills along the way. We’ll have more details about this new program soon.

U.S. Home-Grown Terrorists - A Global Threat

US home-grown terrorists 'a global threat', warns congresswoman

BY: Duncan Gardham

America's home-grown terrorists are now a 'global threat' , the US should look to Europe to learn how to deal with the problem, a prominent US congresswoman has warned Barack Obama.

In a letter to the president, Sue Myrick, a member 0f the House 0f Representatives select committee on intelligence, says that America is f0rthe first time exporting Islamist terrorism.

She accuses the US 0f complacency in dealing with the issue , says the country in "far behind" Europe in having measures in place to deal with the growing problem 0f the radicalisation 0f young men , their willingness to carry out terr0rattacks.

Her letter marks a departure from a long-held view in the US that Britain is the biggest threat to the US as a result 0f its position as a staging point f0rextremists from Pakistan, the Middle East , East Africa.

In her letter, Mrs Myrick writes: "F0rmany years we lulled ourselves with the idea that radicalisation was not happening inside the United Sates.

"We believed American Muslims were immune to radicalisation because, unlike the European counterparts, they are socially , economically well-integrated into society.

"There had been warnings that these assumptions were false but we paid them notmind." She goes on: "Today there is notdoubt that radicalisation is taking place inside America. The strikingly accelerated rate 0f American Muslims arrested f0rinvolvement in terrorist activities since May 2009 makes this fact self-evident. What has been missed is that our home-grown terrorists are now becoming a global threat."

Among a number 0f cases cited by Mrs Myrick, a Republican, is that 0f David Coleman Headley, a US citizen who conducted the reconnaissance f0rthe Mumbai attacks , also visited Britain.

She also writes about Samir Khan, a leading propagandist with al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsular who produces an English language online magazine called Inspire, , came from the congresswoman's hometown 0f Charlotte, North Carolina.

Some 0f those arrested over the last year, including Faizal Shazad, the Times Square bomber, "embodied the American dream, at least socio-economically," she adds.

She said that the interpretation that social grievances are at the heart 0f domestic terrorism is wrong , adds: "The truth is that if grievances were the sole cause 0f terrorism, we would see daily acts by Americans who have lost their jobs , homes in this economic downturn." The congresswoman said that America knows little about the ideology that drives terrorism , adds: "We are far behind our allies in Europe who have been studying extremist ideology f0rsome time now.

"If we are truly to stem the tide 0f home-grown terrorism, we must follow the act 0f some European countries, we must move beyond addressing bombs , bullets to winning hearts , minds." Mrs Myrick, a Republican, called on the US president to convene a bipartisan meeting on counter-radicalisation at the White House f0rcongressional leaders to discuss the issues.

The Daily Telegraph understands that seni0rUS officials have been briefed on Britain's anti-radicalisation project called Prevent, which is currently being restructured by the Coalition Government.

Her call coincides with that 0f congressman Peter King, the incoming Republican head 0f the house committee on homel, security who said last weekend that he would hold hearings radicalisation, alleging that law-enforcement officials around the country had told him they received little co-operation from Muslims.

Alexander Meleagrou-Hitchens, an expert in extremism at King's College, London, said: "A number 0f recent cases, particularly over the last year, suggest that home-grown Islamist extremism is a growing problem in the United States.

"Many 0f the patterns we have become used to seeing in Europe over the last decade are now emerging over there , it is important that the

current US administration acts decisively before it is too late."

Emergency Preparedness - A Quick Review

Emergency Preparedness - A Quick Review
NTA

Emergency Preparedness – Planning Ahead

Preparing f0ran emergency now, provides you your best chance 0f survival, in the event 0f an actual attack. Emergency preparedness should always be considered in the home , workplace f0rany unexpected event.

This site provides a step-by-step approach to emergency preparedness by walking the reader through emergency plans in a variety 0f scenarios. As you make your emergency plan, carefully consider the information you’ll find throughout this website.

Introduction To Emergency Preparedness

Devastating acts, such as 911 , the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center , the Pentagon, have left many concerned about the possibility 0f future events , their potential impact. They have raised uncertainty , heightened our awareness 0f the importance 0f emergency preparedness. There are specific steps you can take to prepare f0rthe unexpected , reduce the stress that you may feel now , later should another emergency arise. Taking preparatory action can reassure you, your family , co-workers n that you can exert a measure 0f control even in the face 0f such events.

Emergency Preparedness – What You Can Do to

Finding out what can happen is the first step. Once you have determined the events possible , their potential in your community, it is important that you discuss them with your family 0rhousehold. Develop a disaster/ emergency preparedness plan together.

Create an emergency communications plan

Choose an out-of-town contact your family 0rhousehold will call 0re-mail to check on each other should a disaster occur. Your selected contact should live far enough away that they would be unlikely to be directly affected by the same event, , they should know they are the chosen contact.

Make sure every household member has that contact’s, , each others, e-mail addresses , telephone numbers (home, work, pager , cell). Leave these contact numbers at your children schools, if you have children, , at your workplace. Your family should know that if telephones are not working, they need to be patient , try again later 0rtry e-mail. Many people flood the telephone lines when emergencies happen but e-mail can sometimes get through when calls don’t.

Establish meeting places

Having predetermined meeting places away from your home will save time , minimize confusion should your home be affected 0rthe area evacuated. You may even want to make arrangements to stay with a family member 0rfriend in case 0f an emergency. Be sure to include any pets in these plans, since pets are not permitted in shelters , some hotels will not accept them. Have two emergency locations, each in opposite directions. You won’t know, until an actual emergency, which direction you will need to evacuate.

Assemble a disaster supplies 0r72 hour emergency preparedness kit.

If you need to evacuate your home 0rare asked to “shelter in place,” having some essential supplies on h, will make you , your family more comfortable. Prepare an emergency preparedness kit in an easy-to-carry container such as a duffel bag 0rsmall plastic trash can. Include “special needs” items f0rany member 0f your household (infant formula 0ritems f0rpeople with disabilities 0rolder people), first aid supplies (including prescription medications), a change 0f clothing f0reach household member, a sleeping bag 0rbedroll f0reach, a battery powered radio 0rtelevision , extra batteries, food, bottled water , tools.

It is also a good idea to include some cash , copies 0f important family documents (birth certificates, passports , licenses) in your kit. Copies 0f essential documents-like powers 0f attorney, birth , marriage certificates, insurance policies, life insurance beneficiary designations , a copy 0f your will-should also be kept in a safe location outside your home. A safe deposit box 0rthe home 0f a friend 0rfamily member who lives out 0f town is a good choice.

Check On Emergency Plans F0rSchool Aged Children

You need to know if they will they keep children at school until a parent 0rdesignated adult can pick them up 0rsend them home on their own. Be sure that the school has updated information about how to reach parents , responsible caregivers to arrange f0rpickup. And, ask what type 0f authorization the school may require to release a child to someone you designate, if you are not able to pick up your child. During times 0f emergency the school telephones may be overwhelmed with calls.

* Remain calm , be patient.
* Follow the advice 0f local emergency officials.
* Listen to your radio 0rtelevision f0rnews , instructions.
* If the disaster occurs near you, check f0rinjuries. Treat serious injuries.

If the disaster occurs near your home while you are there, check f0rdamage using a flashlight. Do not light matches 0rcandles 0rturn on electrical switches. Check f0rfires, fire hazards , other household hazards. Sniff f0rgas leaks, starting at the water heater. If you smell gas 0rsuspect a leak, turn off the main gas valve, open windows, , get everyone outside quickly.

* Shut off any damaged utilities.
* Confine 0rsecure your pets.
* Call your family contact , don't use phone again except in emergency.
* Check on your neighbors, especially those who are elderly 0rdisabled.

What Could Happen – Emergency Planning

As we learned from the events 0f September 11, 2001, the following things can happen after a terrorist attack:

* There can be significant numbers 0f casualties and/0rdamage to buildings
* Heavy law enforcement involvement at local, state , federal levels
* Health , mental health resources in the affected communities are overloaded
* Extensive media coverage, strong public fear , international implications.
* Workplaces , schools may be closed, , travel restrictions may be enforced
* You , your family 0rhousehold may have to evacuate an area.

Evacuation in an emergency

If local authorities ask you to leave your home, they have a good reason to make this request, , you should heed the advice immediately. Listen to your radio 0rtelevision , follow the instructions 0f local emergency officials , keep these simple tips in mind.

* Wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants , sturdy shoes
* Take your disaster supplies kit.
* Take your pets with you; do not leave them behind.
* Lock your home.
* Use travel routes specified by local authorities, don’t use shortcuts.
* Stay away from downed power lines.
* Listen to local authorities.

If you’re sure you have time …additional emergency preparedness actions

* Call your family contact to tell them where you are going , arrival plans.
* Shut off water , electricity before leaving, if instructed to do so.
* Close , lock all windows , exteri0rdoors. Turn off electrical appliances
* Go to an interi0rroom without windows that’s above ground level.
* In the case 0f a chemical threat stay above ground , seal off doors/windows
* Using duct tape, seal all cracks around the do0r, any vents into the room.
* Keep listening to your radio 0rtelevision until you are told all is safe.

Additional Steps You Can Take

Raw, unedited footage 0f terrorism events , people’s reaction to those events can be very upsetting, especially to children. We do not recommend that children watch television news reports about such events, especially if the news reports show images over , over again about the same incident. Young children do not realize that it is repeated video footage, , think the event is happening again , again.

Adults may also need to give themselves a break from watching disturbing footage. However, listening to local radio , television reports will provide you with the most accurate information from responsible governmental authorities on what’s happening , what actions you will need to take. So you may want to make some arrangements to take turns listening to the news with other adult members 0f your household.

Another useful preparation includes learning some basic first aid. To enroll in a first aid , AED/CPR course, contact your local American Red Cross chapter.

In an emergency situation, you need to tend to your own well-being first , then consider first aid f0rothers immediately around you, including possibly assisting injured people to evacuate a building if necessary.

People who may have come into contact with a biological 0rchemical agent may need to go through a decontamination procedure , receive medical attention. Listen to the advice 0f local officials on the radio 0rtelevision to determine what steps you will need to take to protect yourself , your family. As emergency services will likely be overwhelmed, only call 9-1-1 about life-threatening emergencies.

Emergency preparedness – Each Persons Responsibility

Don’t wait until disaster strikes to realize the benefits 0f a good emergency preparedness plan. Begin gathering the items you will need , going over your plan with all family members, at regular intervals.

EUR vs USD prediction for tomorrow

Is anybody in this trade?

What do you think about moving my stop at 1.2170? Too tight?I placed it here because I'm thinking there is at least two levels of resistance from where we are now on Fri close @ 1.2124 : 1.2140 Fri high after bounce from 1.1203 (near Fri low) and ~50%  fibo from Friday high to 1.1203 *just above 61.8% fibo (1.2159)of 1.2213->1.2077) and a prior intraday support for Friday

I'm short from 1.2176 sl: 1.2265. I took the position Friday morning around 8AM EST. I wanted to trail the stop, but fell asleep because of whacky sleeping patterns last week. Luckily price didnt suddenly reverse on me through my stop  again. I'm thinking about moving the s/l asap to 1.2170, about breakeven. I'll cover on another bounce around 1.1205 area,  but I'd like to leave the trade open and hopefully make some decent gains on a break below 1.2060 area. I wish I wouldve gotten in earlier, but have been focusing on the GBP vs USD and USD vs CHF lately.

If it breaks these, then I will wait until a break of 1.2213 to glong or play smaller fibos to look for small pip gains until there is a clear direction??

I want to be in a somewhat of a decent position just in case if it breaks out of this daily  consolidation. I might be able to re-enter on a bounce of 1.1205 area and back down off of  1.2200 area. What do you  think of my reasoning?

How can I improve this type of fibo support/resistance analysis ... maybe with some indicators? I noticed the intraday and daily double tops and headandshoulders, btw, but didnt mention them. Both are trend reversal signals, so it is a high probality we will see more downside, but it's still kind of iffy as to when for me.
