As a resident of your district I am writing to let you know that I do not support cuts to vital human service programs in Illinois. I am very concerned by the current budget impasse that threatens to implode our human service infrastructure, leaving hundreds of thousands of lives hanging in the balance. The current budget, which is set to go into effect on July 1st, does not support FULL FUNDING of human services and you just can’t allow that to happen.

This is the time for lawmakers from both parties to stop the finger-pointing, set aside partisan politics and work together to craft a responsible budget. It is our lawmakers’ responsibility to enact a budget that meets the state’s moral and legal obligation to protect public safety, safeguard public health, strengthen our economy and ensure every child has the educational opportunity they deserve.

I hope that I can count on your support of a budget that takes into account all our needs. Please vote YES to passing a budget that ensures and protects full funding of human services in Illinois.
