Brazil registered a surprise drop in unemployment
Brazil unemployment rate surprisingly fell in April, in which analysts interpreted as evidence such as rigid labour market in the South American nation, not by the decline in economic activity was adversely affected.
The unemployment rate in April took a 6%, 0.2% less than in March, according to figures from the Brazilian Institute of geography and statistics (IBGE)
The number of employees in the six major Brazilian cities rose by 1.8% compared to the previous year, according to the IBGE.
The real wage adjustments for inflation, increased 6.2% compared to April 2011.
