The President of the Chilean CODELCO resignation, copper producer in the world largest

The President of the Chilean CODELCO, Diego Hernández Cabrera, joined a principle of agreement in the conflict Thursday announced just a few days after his company, the largest producer of copper in the world, who for months with the Anglo American holds Anglo-Sudafricana.

Hernandez, who the position two years exercised claimed for personal reasons, as reported by the body which regulates the stock market in Chile.

CODELCO had sued Anglo American, because it assumed that it had made incorrect sale of shares of a subsidiary, without the Chilean exercise of a call option.

The two huge miners announced Tuesday, which the stay of proceedings until Friday 22 June this year requested.

CODELCO thanked Hernandez "strategic dynamics" and announced that his successor, Thomas Keller, current Vice President for Administration and finance.
