America is not prepared f0ra truly catastrophic natural 0rman-made disaster above , beyond the size , scope 0f Katrina, 9-11 , 20th century earthquakes that have occurred in the U.S.
A maj0rearthquake like New Madrid, San Andreas, maj0rvolcanic eruption in the N.W. 0rYellowstone, nuclear terrorist detonation in a maj0rcity and/0rsignificant electro- magnetic pulse (EMP) will have significant immediate, intermediate , long term impacts on portions 0f our population , government (all levels) dependent upon disaster specifics beyond the politically correct scripted NLE.
Further, a weakened economy , growth in the number 0f Americans unemployed, underemployed, homeless/foreclosures , much more severely limits even more than usual the ability 0f many Americans to feed themselves let alone prepare f0ra short duration crisis-disaster.
I have travelled extensively f0rthe last several years on the ground in many areas 0f the U.S. , our population is in crisis outside 0f many 0f the U.S. Government civil service, military , contract0renclaves. Further, the U.S. fiscal crisis with threatened inflation is further impacting the ability 0f Americans to prepare , in the event 0f such serious crises survive....
Recently, Virginia Delgate Bob Marshall wrote reference a Federal Reserve , currency issue the following that is relevant reference the ability 0f Americans to prepare....
"Food , energy prices have risen significantly in the last 18 months. The U.S. Lab0rDepartment, masks inflation from consumers by removing energy , food price increases from the “official” Consumer Price Index. Fed Reserve Chairman Bernanke told a Congressional Committee recently that, “the federal government is on an unsustainable fiscal path.”
Further, this Administration has further impeded catastrophic , other emergency preparedness efforts in the U.S. including at FEMA , elsewhere by their targeting 0f political , religious groups, individuals and/0ropposition through having "resumes" 0f prospective employees, contractors including f0rgrant positions sent to Washington D.C. f0rreview 0f any , all organizations "top candidates" f0rsuch positions. Then if any individual(s) are on the "progressives" targeted enemies list they are removed from consideration f0rsuch positions, even when told they are the "top candidate" and/0rwere hired, , this was just a formality. Then the Administration , others deny resumes went to Washington D.C......
We have many good , hardworking people working these issues, but not necessarily the best and/0rmost qualified across the board. Notdifferent than many 0f the professionals who have really gone through real terrorist attacks with antiterrorism, counterterrorism and/0remergency management consequence management experience are seldom anywhere to be found in seni0rstaff 0rhigher level preparedness 0rresponse positions. After, such an incident occurs in the future, I would like to see the Congressional , other hearings on the government alone before they get into the inadequacies 0f faith based , other secular non-profit organizations planning , even many food banks during non-disaster situations.
May the Lord intervene , help this nation as there is definitely too much preaching to the choir that in the end will not save one human life let alone get a nation prepared to respond to a truly catastrophic disaster.
