Skechers will pay $50 million for "misleading advertising" of your footwear
Sports shoes Skechers company shall pay a fine of $50 million to reach agreement after accusations of misleading advertising.
The American firm faced a demand of the Federal Trade Commission in the United States.UU. (FTC) who accuses her of misleading consumers about the properties of Shape-ups shoes.
Skechers in a statement denied "vigorously made claims" but assured that it came to the settlement to "avoid lengthy legal procedures".
The tennis ads argued that they helped "lose weight and strengthen and tone buttocks, legs and abdominal muscles".
