HP announces end of 2014 27,000 layoffs

After the President of HP measures are necessary to improve the health of the company.

The largest in the world, Hewlett-Packard, computer maker announced that up to the year 2014, 27,000 employees was the 8% of its workforce. The computer group would save $3.5 billion so far.

The President of Hewlett-Packard, Meg Whitman, said that savings will help the company to adapt to technological change by the growing demand for Internet access via mobile phone.

Correspondents explain the popularity of so-called smartphones and computers tablets to prevent sale of HP in the area of personal computers.

The company announced that a profit of 3,061 billion during the first half of fiscal year 37.6% had less every year.

HP has 349.600 employees in 170 countries of the world.
