EU sues Argentina for measures for imports

The President of Argentina, Cristina Fernández, laid down measures on imports that have generated criticism in Europe.

The European Union demanded Argentina before the World Trade Organisation (WTO), throwing to impose their restrictions on imports. The EU said that Argentina has measures in place restrictive, including a non-automatic import licensing regime and companies the obligation to compensate with exports imports.

"Argentina import restrictions against international trade rules violate and need to be removed, the Commissioner for trade, Karel de Gucht, said cited a statement by Reuters."

"These actions cause damage to EU businesses, hurting jobs and our economy as a whole, real" he added.

The statement note is taken that linked the presentation not directly related to the nationalization of the largest oil company in Argentina, YPF, a subsidiary of the Spanish Repsol.
